I hope you all had a merry, merry Christmas! Please email me some pics of your very favorite gifts that you gave, or received. One of my favorite presents is an old fashioned fountain pen, and notebook! It was so exciting waking up to see presents under the tree! Me and my siblings are not allowed to wake our parents up before seven o’clock on Christmas morning, so we all stood huddled around the clock, and when it turned to 7:00, we all ran into our parent’s room. For breakfast we had toast and bacon! Yum! After that we played with our presents until our friends arrived, then we loaded up their BB gun and went bird hunting on our property. We didn’t get anything, but it was fun. I even got my dog a bone!(she wouldn’t let anyone touch it!). Then we ate ham and rolls, and ate tons of chocolate. It was one of the only times we have stayed home for Christmas. But, I have to admit, we got caught up in it all. So when we read the Christmas story, I again realized who Christmas is about. Not the candy and presents. Not even Christmas spirit! It is about Jesus Christ. The one who came down to save our wretched souls! All because he loved and still loves us. Have you seen the bumper stickers that say “Keep the Christ in Christmas”? Look at them, and remember to really keep the Christ in the Christmas this year and forever!
